Dream from God- Whiplash
I had a dream about someone I had been with in the past, but it wasn’t about what you think. Instead it was almost like we were together, but we weren’t. It was strange. It was like we were together but when we were around people, he would pretend he didn’t know me and then when they left, he would pull me in like we were together. It was very confusing, and I remember asking him in the dream why he was doing that and why he treated me differently when people were around? I felt like I had whiplash when I was around him. When I was praying, I felt like God brought this dream back to my memory and so I asked him about it. I feel like God is saying that is what the body of Christ is doing or has been doing with God. They want to have this close-knit personal relationship with God, and they probably do on their own in their own life, but when they go out into the world, they hide God away. Then when they are in private, they pull God close again and expect that sort of intimacy with him. I feel like God is saying he is getting whiplash with that mindset. Don’t keep God hidden in your pocket just for a time when you want him or need him. He is an all-powerful god who wants to be front and center all the time, and he should be, and we should want him to be, we shouldn’t hide him away… now there is no condemnation in Christ. So I feel like that is why God referenced the person in my dream, because they were someone from my past which to me means God is saying; it is time to leave that kind of behavior, that heart set and that mentality in the past and move forward and invite God into everything. He just wants to do life with us, he doesn’t want us to be ashamed of him and hide him away. He is proud of us no matter what. He just wants us to exhibit that same love for him and not shy away from him and invite him and let him move in your life. That can look so many different ways, like including God in your decision of where to go for dinner or what movie theater to go to for date night or where to get your haircut, what kind of toothpaste to buy and where to clean your car… I mean the possibilities are endless! When you think about the countless decisions you make in just one day think about the infinite opportunities that could give God to not only move in your own life, but someone else’s! He just wants to be a part of our everyday life and go on this adventure with us, but he wants us to want to include him because he is not a pushy god, he is gentle and wants an invite! So let’s invite God into our life and our hearts a little more today and see what he can do with that sort of freedom!
With love,
Kaley
