Riding for God

My time here may be done, But know my soul will carry on.

It may feel as though, time went too fast,

But do not cry as if I’m lost. For I have found my home at last.

Because I am here, with Papa now, as I’m sitting on his lap.

No need for sadness and despair, for my heart is always near and dear.

At last my body has been healed, and all our prayers, have been fulfilled.

For I am with you in the stars above, high up in the air.

Shining bright with your love, and not a mention of a care.

I understand when you say, the light that used to be, has now, slipped away.

Just lift your head nice and high, and tilt your chin to the sky.

Gaze upon the heaven realm, and see how bright I shine for you.

My time here may be done, but know my light will carry on.

I am never far away, for I am with you everyday.

As I grow my wings and fly away, don’t forget I ride for God today!

This poem I wrote in honor of my best friend, Emily Kruljac (the beautiful lady in the picture above) and is dedicated to Emily, who went to her heavenly home in December 2019.

With love,

Kaley
