When there are no words
When there are no words left to write,
Cling to me, for I’ll show you what I planned, in this life.
When life has you down, and you’re feeling far from proud,
Place your hand on your chest, and feel that bumping sound.
It has a way of slowing the whole world down, and reminding us what really counts.
You see, you never know how much time you have left here in this land.
But it is for certain,
If you feel that slow bumping sound, I still need your precious hand.
But for now, enjoy the quiet, and the peace,
For someday soon, I will need you home with me.
I understand when there are no words left to say, and nothing seems to help.
The world seems to move a million miles per hour, and you’re trying just to keep up.
But that wasn’t my original plan or why I created our friendship.
You see, I am full of love and peace and quiet.
I am not the one who drowns you in pits of worry, stress and chaos.
That comes from the fallen world we all call home now.
For now, tuck your head and let the world just fly by,
Because where it matters most is right by your side.
I stand here always, right by your side,
Hoping you’ll slow down just enough, for a quick hi.
I miss our talks and walks together, as we wonder through the trees,
Where the comfort of the breeze, makes you think of me.
I am never far away, but when this world says you must keep up to succeed,
Just remember to take the breeze in nice and deep,
And grab my hand, right by your side, and let me show you how to breathe.
For when there are no words left to say, let me show you my own way!
With love,
Kaley
