Shine bright

Word from God that I wanted to share with you all.

I was sitting downstairs in prayer when God told me to get up and look at your Christmas tree. Okay God I’m looking at the tree what are you trying to say… what do you see? I see lots of ornaments and decorations and lights and branches… what do you notice about the lights on the branches? Uhm not every branch has lights, but some have more than one.. that’s kind of like your life, the trunk of the tree is your foundation with me and then you sprout up these branches and they make more and more off each other some long and some small but they keep growing out and spreading out and the branches are the passions and the giftings that I have given you that are to be shared with the world, and the lights are so beautiful and they add so much character to the tree but not every branch gets one, same with your life the lights represent past sins or traumas or breaking points that shaped you into being you… those parts of you are not to be held onto and caged up or locked up and hidden away… they are to be on display for all the world to see because I want everyone to know they are loved and cherished and beautiful shining lights even with their past, especially because of their past… your past doesn’t darken you, it adds color and light and when you are open honest and true about sharing your past then it allows light into other people’s life too, just like the twinkling lights scattered on the Christmas tree, your past makes you who you are and I think you’re magnificently beautiful and I want to show you off and share you with the whole world! Don’t hide yourself away in the corner, shine bright for all to see just like we do with the Christmas tree!
